The Story of St. Patrick

He was from a religious background, but not particularly religious himself.  He committed the typical sins of the youths of his time.  He was kidnapped at the age of 16, and sold into slavery.  He was taken to a land far from his home where he was forced to serve a cruel master for six long years.  Then, he made a bold escape.  He managed a journey of 200 miles on foot to the coast of the sea.  And there he found a miraculous deliverance from the land of his servitude!  Does this sound like the plot of a Hollywood film?  Maybe it should be, but it's not.  It is part of the story of Patrick of Ireland. Patrick was a man who...

God Never Leaves a Work Unfinished

The following is a testimony from a camp counselor in Ukraine: When I think about camp I cannot find the right words to describe all that God has taught me there, all that He has shown me, and how He has shaped me through the numerous situations and people I have come in contact with. Europe and Russia

21st century Europe and Russia have entire ethnic groups who have never heard the Gospel.  There are large cities with no evangelical church.  Many Europeans are so secularized that they’ve never actually heard the Gospel.  There are large populations of immigrant Muslims who need Christ.  Europe also has other immigrants from every nation in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

But God is raising up an indigenous mission force, mainly from newer evangelical churches.  These native missionaries are increasingly effective, particularly among younger people, as well as among groups of Roma (gypsies), and among drug addicts.  Like native missionaries everywhere, they need encouragement from North American Christians, and equipping in the form of money, equipment, and specific kinds of training.  ANM is here so that interested North Americans can participate in the new spiritual breakthroughs of indigenous missionaries in Europe.
