Advancing Native Missions
for a witness to all the nations
FEATURED THIS WEEK

We are in the process of putting together our mission trip opportunities for 2012.  If you have an interest in going on a mission trip to a particular ministry or region of the world, please contact Joanne Gardner.  Please give her an idea of what kind of minsitry you would like to do on the field, i.e., working with children, using your musical or creative talents, construction, teaching, medical missions, sports ministry, etc.  This could be very useful in helping us put together teams for 2012.

God is alive in Mumbai

We will start by proclaiming that God is alive and active here Mumbai! We have been witnesses to His mighty hand at work through Bombay Teen Challenge and their many vital outreaches. Our team has spent three amazing days here and in that short time, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of God’s holy spirit in and through each of us. It hasn’t taken long for God to unify and strengthen our team as one heart, one mind, and with one purpose. And that purpose is to bring God glory. God is leading and teaching us as a group to simply love Him and love others. Here’s just a glimpse of what God is doing in Mumbai given through they eyes of eight extremely grateful hearts....

First thoughts from India

As you can imagine, our team in India has been overwhelmed with the sights and sounds of India. Please enjoy the post below from one of our team members... We started the day with a breakfast of.... well, I'm not sure what it was but it was delicious!  After team devotions, we headed out to see some of the things BTC is doing here in the city.  We started at the medical clinic.  There is a doctor and a dentist there who work free of charge helping the people who other medical professionals turn away.  Did I mention that they share the exam room?  Did I mention it was about 8'x10'??  The "reception area" is the porch, which is just a concrete stoop about 3'x8'. ...

What to expect

Each team member who goes on a mission trip always wonders, "What should I expect?" Read the thoughts of a team member who went on an ANM trip to India. I'm really not sure what to expect in India. Indian food, trash, children, heat, color, songs, lizards, broken people, broken hearts, bouncy balls, stares, skin, tears, love, humility, God, compassion, faith, learning, teaching, listening, hearing, aching, confusion, etc. I expect all this but to the degree of which it will all affect me is what I don't believe I can expect/comprehend. I also expect this trip to be a beautiful testimony to the Lord. It already is for me. Watching what He has done so far with getting me there even when I thought...

Reporting from Guatemala

The following is a report received on January 16th from one of our ANM staff members who is leading a short-term missions trip to Guatemala: Just wanted to check in briefly while I have internet access to let you know that my two teams arrived safely in Guatemala yesterday. The team I traveled with had an interesting experience while traveling and were late getting here. We arrived four hours late and after everyone else got here, but we arrived safely, although a little tired. We got a great night's sleep last night which refreshed us. Today we went to church in the morning and spent the afternoon here at the mission. One team spent the time getting to know and play with the orphans. The university...

UPDATE ON PHILIPPINES VISION TRIP

Here is an update from Mindy Spurrier, the ANM Staff Leader for this trip:  We are headed to the Philippines in February to SEE what God is doing, SERVE those who are working, SHARE the love of Christ by serving those in need, and SHARE what we have seen when we return.  Just this week I worked on the schedule and it looks like the team will be doing ministry in prisons, working with a medical mission teams at a feeding center, possibly some light construction, musical concerts, puppet shows, working with young leaders, seeing some amazing, fruitful ministries, and giving out lots of encouragement.  I am working with our national leaders to firm up the...
