Woman Delivered From Curse

A testimony from Maharashtra Village Ministries One of our many testimonies comes from Praful N. Swanker:   “My home was in turmoil. Our neighbors had a disagreement with my mother and cast an evil spirit on her. Each day her health deteriorated a little more. Priests and doctors offered no relief. An uncle suggested that we take her to the local missionary because he had heard that the name of Jesus was powerful. Desperate for deliverance from the clutches of this evil, the whole family began to attend the church fellowship run by Maharashtra Village Ministries' missionary Suresh Mohure. Through their compassion and prayer, mother was totally delivered and healed! As a result,...

Testimony of A Native Missionary

Dear friends, Greetings in Jesus name who said, “Let us go to the other side.” On October 1st, in the year, 1971, it pleased the Lord to save me while I was in the Indian Army, up in Kashmir. I was delivered from my sinful nature and I received heavenly peace that this world could not give. But soon my heart became restless at the thought that everyone around me was going to eternal hell. My heart cried for souls, and in the process, it became restless. My restless heart always reminded me of ‘others’, ‘others’, and 'others.’  So I witnessed to my fellow soldiers, officers who were coming to me every day to get their daily quota of ration...

Prayer Requests from India

Dear prayer friends,   Greeting to you in the name of Jesus Christ!   Please pray for the R. K. Grower family.  R. K. Grower is a highly influential man in Rohini. The story of his family is a bit long.  [But it is worth reading.]   Two year back Mrs. Grower attended a revival meeting in Delhi.  Somehow she came to know about the meeting and over the next few days she brought some other friends also.  During the revival meeting she had contact with my wife Pushpa, and exchanged their contact details.  After one year she called me that her husband is sick.  She requested us to pray.   Mrs. Grower believes in the lord but her...

SOUTH ASIA

More people live in South Asia than in North America, Central America and South America combined.  Twenty percent of the world’s population lives in South Asia.  Of course India dominates this vast sub-continent.  And although Christianity is India's third-largest religion, with approximately 24 million followers, only about 2.4% of India's population professes faith in Christ.  Christianity has grown slowly in India, despite the fact that Church tradition has consistently asserted that Christianity came early to this region, possibly during first century Apostolic times.  The South Asian sub-continent is dominated by Hinduism, but with many millions of Muslims.  There are more Muslims in South Asia than in all of the Middle East.
